The spruce is both a useful tree and a valuable medicinal plant. Fresh spruce shoots as well as essential spruce needle oil can be used for medical purposes. Parts of the spruce have already been used in naturopathy since the Middle Ages. Today, its therapeutic effect has even been scientifically proven. The essential oil of spruce needles can provide complementary support in alleviating coughs and respiratory ailments. It loosens stuck mucus, which can therefore be coughed up more easily. Icelandic moss (Cetraria islandica) is a lichen that grows on the ground or on rocks. It is recommended for mucosal problems, coughs and irritations in the throat and pharynx area, but also for stimulating the appetite. Acetylcysteine acts as an expectorant and antioxidant. The effectiveness of ivy regarding colds and especially coughs is attributed to the saponins and essential oils it contains

The daily dose (= 15 ml) of SPRUCE NEEDLE herbal cough syrup contains the following decisive ingredients:

Vitamin C 30 mg 38 %

*NRV (Nutrient Reference Value) = recommended daily allowance. The values of the ingredients are based on average analyses.

 

Recommended intake:

If required, take 15 ml of SPRUCE NEEDLE herbal juice. 15 ml is roughly equivalent to the contents of a medium-sized tablespoon.

 

Please note:

SPRUCE NEEDLE herbal cough syrup should be taken in the morning and at noon with sufficient liquid. The more you drink, the better the mucus dissolution and expectoration. In the evening, WILD THYME herbal cough syrup should be used for cough relief. SPRUCE NEEDLE and WILD THYME herbal cough syrups can therefore be optimally combined.
