The primary task of our immune system is to distinguish harmless substances (such as pollen or animal hair) from harmful substances (such as bacteria and viruses) and to react appropriately.

In an allergic reaction, the defense system misjudges the situation: it reacts to allergens. In order to get these excessive or misdirected metabolic reactions under control, the body needs above all vitamin C, vitamin B6 and zinc. Why? Because these micronutrients can break down the messenger substance that causes acute allergic symptoms: histamine. Nutrients and also plant adaptogens (such as Astragalus membranaceus / gum tragacanth) additionally correct the immune system to be able to react adequately to foreign substances again. In studies, the anti-allergic effect of gum tragacanth has been clinically proven.

Please note:

ALLERGO STOP capsules contain vitamin A as retinol. For pregnant women, nursing mothers and women planning to have a child, we recommend not to exceed the daily dose of 6 capsules. Vitamin A is an important nutrient to build skin and mucous membrane barrier and to support the immune system as an antioxidant.
Furthermore, it is necessary for the differentiation of immune cells. However, it is one of the few vitamins that can lead to undesirable side effects in the case of uncontrolled high overdose (a daily dose of more than 3.5 mg retinol is not recommended for pregnant women, nursing mothers and women who wish to have children).

Tragacanth (Astragalus membranaceus) has been one of the most important immune modulators in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. In particular, it is used for allergies and for symptom relief in rhinitis. The natural mix of valuable plant ingredients such as saponins, flavonoids, polysaccharides and nutrients gives the plant its “superpower” to balance the immune system.
